Publisher Guidelines
A few principles to help sponsorships work well for everyone: your visitors, your sponsors, and you.

Example: sponsorship in a blog sidebar
Where to place it
Sponsorships perform best when they're visible without being intrusive. Think of it as a recommendation, not an interruption.
Natural spots where recommendations make sense
Sponsors pay for visibility, give them a fair spot
Doesn't need to be above the fold, just reachable
If nobody sees it, nobody benefits
Choosing a format
Pick the format that fits your layout when creating a placement. The ad fills whatever container you place it in.
Full-width horizontal strip. Place between sections, in headers, or hero areas.
Logo + name + tagline + CTA. Fits grid cells, sidebars, modals. Adapts to container width.
Technical stuff
Don't modify the script or host it yourself. Updates happen automatically.
Multiple placements on the same page dilute value. One works better.
The "sponsored via Adventory" link needs to stay visible. It builds trust.
When Adventory is showing, don't display other ad networks in the same view.
How impressions work
We count an impression when the sponsorship is actually seen, not just loaded.
- •At least 50% visible in viewport
- •For at least 1 second
- •Tab is active (not hidden)
- •Container is visible (not hidden by CSS)
This means your pageviews and impressions won't match exactly. That's normal. We're measuring real visibility.
What we keep an eye on
We're making sure the network stays valuable for everyone.
- •Unusual patterns: If metrics look off, we'll pause and investigate. Usually resolved in 24-48 hours.
- •Inactive placements: No traffic for 14+ days? We'll pause it. Easy to reactivate.
- •Design changes: If you redesign your site, let us know so we can check placement still works.
